Restaurant | The Night Market
A contemporary Taiwanese restaurant inspired by Taipei’s famed street-food culture. Taking visual elements from the street market and more abstract ones around finding value in the broken or discarded – the concept carefully translates an authentic narrative into a removed context and new audience, applying a similar ingenuity via modern industrial processes and ancient craft techniques.
Working with two separate spaces, the 6th floor tells the story of Japanese influenced wooden shop interiors that often complement the night market. In contrast, the 7th floor interior captures the vibrancy and transience of the outdoor market.

Bar | 001
An underground speakeasy located behind Graham Street wet market in Hong Kong’s vibrant Central district. With reference to the Prohibition era of the 1920’s, the brief was to create an intimate stage for the making of well-crafted cocktails as a departure from the regular offerings of Hong Kong nightlife.

Retail | Liquor & Liqueur
Hong Kong concept store on Wellington Street focusing on rare and unique whiskeys from all around the world. The brief was to create a tailor made experience within which to encounter specialty product. From the exterior, a warm and inviting shop front provides contrast to the visual noise of the streetscape while interior details unite gallery-esque display with the local vernacular.

Brand Adaptation | The Night Market
Following the success of The Night Market flagship restaurant, a second venue was launched in Hong Kong’s prestigious shopping and dining destination, Elements Mall. With higher visibility and a more diverse audience, a balanced approach was taken to maintain the integrity of the brand while allowing it to adapt to its new surrounds.
