001 is an underground speakeasy located behind Graham Street wet market in Hong Kong’s vibrant Central district. Our client came to us with a passion for mixology and a vision to capture the spirit of 1920’s New York during the Prohibition. To develop the owner’s vision, a full interior design service was enlisted and included custom design and manufacture of tables, seating and rugs.

The interior concept took inspiration from the secrecy associated with the era; forgoing signage, and layering black reflective surfaces to inspire hushed tones and subtle glamour. The Art Deco inspired detail gradually reveals itself as patrons decent from street level into small groupings of velvet upholstered furniture and private booths.
